Posted

Trudy Ann Safadago, 60, a resident of Mukilteo, Washington, passed away unexpectedly at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022.

Born Dec. 30,1961, in Kirkland, Washington, she was the daughter of the late Richard Young and Dixie Rockwell.

Trudy was preceded in death by her sister Becky, while sister Kathy and sister Loriane mourn her passing.

She was proud to be an Indigenous American, a member of the Tlingit & Haida Tribes of Alaska.

Trudy will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 38 years, George, 64; her adult children, Travis Safadago, 37, and Justen Safadago, 34; her grandchild, Jordan Safadago, 7; and many loving relatives and the many friends and coworkers that were family to her.

She loved being around her family and friends. She loved to watch professional bull riding up close, thoroughbred horse racing, and the Seahawks up close. Trudy always rooted for the bulls and loved to see them refuse to leave the arena area.

She started her 41-year career with the State of Washington's Department of Corrections as a records clerk and just recently retired in December as the Northwest Regional Records Manager. She was the senior person statewide in the department.

She loved to take short journeys to see and explore the sites she heard and learned about. A compassionate loving person, she was godsent and made a difference in life to those she knew.

Honoring her wishes, a celebration of "LIFE" is scheduled for all to attend at the Monroe Seventh Day Adventist Church at 2 p.m., July 16, 2022.
