Local wildlife photographer, author, and environmentalist Dan Clements will be showing his wildlife photos at the Red Cup Cafe, 619 Fourth St, Mukilteo, in April and May.
The current selection includes cats like cougar, lynx, and ocelot, along with polar bears, snowy owls, and other wildlife. Images will be changed out for May.
You can learn about wildlife in areas as close as Japanese Gulch, and as far away as the Ethiopian highlands.
Clements has climbed, skied, sailed, and scuba-dived around the world, visiting over 75 countries.
After a successful 30-year career in public finance, Clements said his goal is to help develop a greater appreciation of natural environments through photography, publishing, and travel.
When he is not photographing he enjoys backcountry skiing, distance running, mountain biking, and opera. Clements has an MBA in international finance and has sat on boards of a number of corporations and non-profits, including Ibis Publishing, Cayenta Software Systems, United Way of Snohomish County, and Housing Hope. Additionally, he is an active supporter of Northwest Nature & Wildlife Photographers, and co-founder of Pacific Northwest Underwater Photographic Society.
