The Beacon news story about "City finds no laws broken during candidate's meeting" (https://bit.ly/3pNoiA8) found it convenient to quote the city manager, councilmen Khan and Harris without even bothering to interview me who had asserted what happened or Ms. Perisho, who rightly thought that it should not be allowed.
We should thank the Mukilteo city lawyer to identify a technical loophole that a law that is used to protect non-partisan positions from political wheeling-dealing during an election can be broken with impunity in an appointment process for the same position. Hope the council w...
