6th annual Polar Bear Plunge embraces cold water for cause

Mukilteans brave the cold waters of Possession Sound for the final plunge of the day at Lighthouse Park beach, Saturday, Jan. 22, during the 6th annual Polar Bear Plunge.

Participants of all ages rushed into the cold Puget Sound at Lighthouse Park to kick off the 2022 Polar Bear Plunge in support of the Jump Up! for Salmon fundraising campaign on Saturday. 

It was Don Hartline's second year participating in the event, which has been organized by Sound Salmon Solutions since 2015. His desire to support the organization's efforts led him to decide to bear the cold for a good cause.
