Kamiak's Sophia Ryu took first in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke during a dual meet against Jackson Thursday, Oct. 21, at Kamiak High School.

The Kamiak girls swim and dive team saved the best for last.

In the final event of the final dual meet of the season, the 400-yard freestyle squad of Claire Smith, Toko Kameda, Julia Lorezno, and Sophia Ryu easily defeated their Jackson rivals and helped the Knights to a 96-90 victory Thursday, Oct. 21, at Kamiak High School.

The two archrivals went back and forth throughout the meet, with the Knights up by two points after the 50 freestyle. Jackson took a four-point advantage after diving. Kamiak retook a two-point lead after the 500 freestyle. The score was tied after the 100 backstroke a...
