Letter to the Editor: Mayor, council pushing for virtual meetings to avoid public

I am reading in the Mukilteo Beacon that the council goes back to virtual meetings. According to the article, Mayor Gregerson made this decision in conjunction with council leadership.

The council leadership that supported this included Sarah Kneller, Richard Emery, Elizabeth Crawford, and Louis Harris. I was shocked to read this after watching a stadium full of Washington State citizens at the recent Seahawks game, mostly maskless.

Why does the Mukilteo mayor lead her council in this effort to keep the public from attending open, public council meetings?
