The return of the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival was a rousing success.
Aside from a little rain Friday evening and Sunday morning, Mother Nature provided picture-perfect late summer weather for residents and out-of-town guests at the three-day festival at Lighthouse Park.
The highlight of Friday was the arrival of the Mukilteo MukFest Pirates of the Salish Sea, who made a grand entrance on the waterfront from a pirate boat. The pirates mingled with children and adults and even shot off a cannon to wake up the neighborhood.
