Letter to the Editor: Mukilteo School District board candidate Schwab shows up for students, parents

Judy Schwab shows up.
My kids know Judy as the Cookie Lady, because during sign waving for the 2020 Mukilteo School District bond she drove around to all the intersections, bringing sign-wavers cookies and hot chocolate. She chaired the Citizens Team for Mukilteo Schools during that campaign, like she had many times before, working on passing levies and bonds that would benefit all kids throughout our district.
Why am I voting for Judy for school board? Because Judy shows up.
She's shown up on the school board for over 23 years. She visits schools throughout the Mukilteo School District, going to concerts, track meets, basketball games and graduations. She cheers from the stands. She waves signs in the rain. She raises money for students. She listens to concerned parents. She shows up.
At this particular moment, our school leaders need people who show up, who help them navigate through our current chaos with humility and determination.
If you'd like to join the Mukilteo Education Association, the Washington Education Association, School Board Chair Mike Simmons, former Superintendent Dr. Marci Larsen and many others, and show up for Judy, visit: judyforschools.org.
Let's show up for our kids. Vote Judy in November.
