Snohomish County aims to improve pedestrian access near Paine Field | News Brief

Snohomish County Public Works is taking steps to improve pedestrian access along a busy location near Paine Field. Public Works will upgrade pedestrian ramps and curbside signals along Airport Road near Paine Field. The county plans to install accessible pedestrian signal (APS) devices and improve six pedestrian ramps along Airport Road at the intersections of 100th Street SW and 94th Street SW in Everett. Upgraded ramps feature detectable warning surfaces and APS pushbuttons, which trigger audio cues alerting visually impaired pedestrians to begin crossing the intersection. Traffic impact...
