'Inspiring Hope Run' returns after COVID hiatus

Live racing returned to Mukilteo with the Inspiring Hope Run Saturday, July 17, at Kamiak High School. The annual 5K/10K race, postponed last year, raised about $7,500 for several charities, including Susan G. Komen, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, UW Autism Center Family Scholarship and Platelet Disorder Support Association.

The top male 5K finisher was Zach Rector, who completed the course in 17 minutes, 32.33 seconds. The top female runner was Donna Hinshaw, who clocked in at 24:13.17.
