Housing advisory: Language for ballot measure approved

Council also discusses increasing staffing at Rosehill Community Center

An initially divided Mukilteo City Council eventually found enough consensus to approve the language for an upcoming housing advisory ballot measure Monday, July 19.

By a vote of 5-1, the council passed a motion calling for the ballot measure to ask the question: Do you think the City should encourage more high density housing to be built in Mukilteo?

Council President Sarah Kneller and Councilmembers Joe Marine, Louis Harris, Riaz Khan, and Richard Emery voted in favor of the motion, while Councilmember Elisabeth Crawford cast the lone no vote. Council Vice President Bob Champion was not p...
