Heads up: Fireworks now banned in unincorporated Snohomish County

Council unanimously approves ban after voters voices were heard in 2019

Every year, residents of unincorporated Snohomish County have been allowed to light fireworks on July 4 for three hours only, 9 p.m. to midnight.

No more.

This year, residents who are part of Snohomish County's jurisdiction, can no longer fire up those firecrackers, smoke bombs, ground spinners or anything else that lights up the night on Independence Day.

The Snohomish County Council unanimously approved the ban after voters weighed in on the issue in a 2019 advisory vote.
