$4.6 million not for pet projects | Guest View

This large distribution to Mukilteo from the Feds' American Rescue Plan Act is said to be for negative economic impacts of COVID-19 and for the provision of government services to the extent revenue has been reduced by the virus.

Most suggested using the money for pet projects or to increase tourists visiting Mukilteo, enjoy increased events, beautification of surroundings, etc. These may be nice to have but do not meet the criteria to replace or restore the reduction of City revenue that was reduced by the virus.

Any use that requires Mukilteo's tax dollars after this distribution is spent...
