Cars stopped for a woman who crossed the Mukilteo Speedway/SR-525 where the Second Street crosswalk was located. Washington State Ferries closed down the crosswalk due to persistent safety concerns. Pedestrians are encouraged to use the Fifth Street crosswalk.

The crosswalk at Second Street and SR-525/Mukilteo Speedway was closed by Washington State Ferries.

The right (east) side of the walkway is blocked because of an active construction zone related to the new road connecting the speedway to the ferry terminal. In order to access the waterfront, pedestrians have to cross the speedway to walk down on the left (west) side of the bridge.

Washington State Ferries cited persistent safety concerns with vehicles not stopping for pedestrians as the reason for closing the temporary crosswalk at Second Street and SR-525/Mukilteo Speedway.
