City to wait on Tulalip Tribes' response to Mukilteo Lane traffic plan

Mukilteo is waiting on a response from the Tulalip Tribes on the city's plan to reconfigure traffic on Mukilteo Lane and the Mount Baker crossing.

The ball is in the Tulalip Tribes' court.

In January, the Mukilteo City Council directed city staff to conduct outreach with interested parties about the city's plan to reconfigure traffic on Mukilteo Lane and the Mount Baker crossing in order to address residents' concerns about speeding and potential cut-through traffic from ferry and train commuters.

The city reached out to 13 stakeholders including the city of Everett, Community

Transit, Sound Transit, state Department of Transportation, Washington State Ferries, and the Tulalip Tribes.
