Work continues on old ferry terminal, clearing way for new road

The vehicle bridge used to drive onto the ferry (above), was lifted away in one large piece and dropped onto a waiting barge to be hauled away. This is where motorists used to drive onto the ferry.

Washington State Ferries (WSF) reports that crews are working to demolish the old ferry terminal structures to make way for the permanent road with traffic signals that will connect the terminal to SR-525.
