Period poverty – let's talk about it.
One in five teens in the U.S. have struggled to afford period products or were not able to purchase them at all. More than 4 in 5 students in the U.S. have either missed class or know of someone who has because they did not have access to period products. When menstruating students are forced to miss class, they are denied the educational opportunities afforded to their non-menstruating peers.
Through House Bill 1273, we can help our menstruating students fully focus on their education. If passed, this bill would require all schools serving grades 6...
