Mayor casts tie breaking vote

A temporary speed hump located on Loveland Avenue will be replaced by a permanent speed hump.

The decision on whether to remove a temporary speed hump on Loveland Avenue, and replace it with a permanent speed hump came down to Mayor Jennifer Gregerson.

With the City Council deadlocked on the issue – three in favor, three opposed with one abstention – Gregerson was called on to cast the tie breaking vote Tuesday, Feb. 16.

The mayor voted in favor of the motion to replace the speed hump, albeit somewhat reluctantly, after councilmembers were unable to come to a consensus.
