Are you ready for some football?

The start of the first of three proposed high school sports seasons was officially approved by Western Conference athletic directors Wednesday, Feb. 3.

The plan calls for traditional fall sports to begin Feb. 22. It was drafted by Wesco athletic directors during a meeting last month.

In order for the plan to be implemented, a number of items needed to be in place:

• The Puget Sound region (Snohomish, King and Pierce counties) must be in Phase 2 of Gov. Jay Inslee’s Healthy Washington-Road map to Recovery plan;
