Pedestrian path along ferry construction site to close Dec. 16

The pedestrian path heads west toward the old ferry terminal, one-third of a mile away, and Lighthouse Park. Seating, native plants, and interpretive boards will line the promenade and make for a nice place to stroll.

As the Dec. 29 opening of the new Mukilteo Multimodal Terminal approaches, crews need to remove the temporary fencing along what has been the pedestrian path during construction.

That fencing comes down on Dec. 16, closing the trail through the site until the new terminal opens.

A waterfront promenade will replace that trail and connect to Lighthouse Park to the west and Edgewater Beach to the east. The photo above shows the pedestrian path as it heads west toward the old ferry terminal, one third of a mile away, and Lighthouse Park.
