Mukilteo has a new finance director.

The City Council unanimously approved the recommendation of Mayor Jennifer Gregerson to hire Shawn Hunstock during its Monday, Dec. 7, meeting.

Hunstock has ties to south Snohomish County. He was Edmonds' finance director from September 2011 until February 2013. Most recently, Hunstock has been the deputy finance director for Des Moines since Septembr 2019. He also served as finance director for Maple Valley and Tukwila, and as the assistant finance director for Auburn.
