Live trees at Adopt a Stream can be bought, or borrowed, then planted after the holidays.
The live trees are going to "do great things for the planet for several hundred years," said Tom Murdoch, director of Adopt a Stream.
The nonprofit, at 600 128th St. SE, Everett has its "Holiday Trees for Salmon" sale through Dec. 23 during open hours.
This year's tree selection includes Douglas fir, grand fir, Western red cedar, and Sitka spruce. The trees sell for $40, $60, and $100, and purchases are paired with a 2021 Adopt A Stream Foundation membership.
