The City of Mukilteo has received a “Safe Routes to School” grant from Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) to increase pedestrian safety along 76th Avenue SW adjacent to Olympic View Middle School and near Mukilteo Elementary School. 

The Safe Routes to School Program is a comprehensive approach to encourage school children to walk and bike to school, and provides funding for cities to make infrastructure improvements that increase safety for school children.
