COVID-19 may impact local school budgets

Enrollment in the Mukilteo School District has dropped during the COVID-19 pandemic, as parents balance choices for education and health, and more families delay kindergarten.

Using the actual enrollment in September and October, the Mukilteo School District has about 608 fewer students in K-12. Running Start has 79 more students than last year. Through October, 966 kindergarteners were enrolled, as contrasted with 1,178 last year.
