Letter to the editor: Proposed budget problems now being discovered

I provided comments to council about significant overstatements of projected Mukilteo revenue for 2021. Two significant areas are sales tax and Rosehill Community Center revenue. Rosehill expenses are also a big problem. The council has similar concerns asking the mayor to address them at its Oct. 19 meeting.

Sales tax the past three years includes a significant amount from new ferry terminal construction. CFO of state ferries estimated Mukilteo would receive more than $900,000 sales tax over the construction period. New terminal opens December with a small amount to be done in early 2021....
