Solar panels to be installed at Rosehill Community Center

The city plans to install solar panels at the Rosehill Community Center after accepting a grant from the state.

Solar power is coming to the Rosehill Community Center, as the city has received a $40,000 grant from the state that will fund the installation of solar panels.

In early 2020, the city submitted a budget request to the state to fund solar panels or electric charging stations at Rosehill. The city was notified in April that funds were appropriated for the project. The Department of Commerce retains up to 3% to administer the project, so the city receives a net award of about $38,800. The city is not required to provide any match.
