The Harbour Pointe Golf Club reopened for business on Tuesday, May 5.

It didn't take long for the word to get out.

Two weeks ago, Gov. Jay Inslee announced that golf courses throughout the state would be allowed to reopen Tuesday, May 5.

The Harbour Pointe Golf Club was booked solid for the first three days of operation.

"Once Gov. Inslee gave the green light, our phones haven't stopped ringing," Harbour Pointe general manager Shawn Beattie said.

Many golfers actually went online to schedule their tee times, since staff was out maintaining the course rather than answering phones.

But with more employees returning to work, phone calls are now being answered.
