Salute to Essential Workers: 53rd Avenue West residents cheer QFC cashier

QFC cashier Gary rides his bike down 53rd Avenue West Wednesday, April 29. Residents come out of their houses at 7 p.m. every night to show their appreciation for essential workers.
Residents on 53rd Avenue West had a special guest join them for their nightly two minutes of gratitude.
QFC cashier Gary, a favorite of customers, rode his bike down the street. "He is a very sweet person and he has been working very hard over the last six weeks," one resident said of Gary.
Mukilteo police also joined in the celebration in which residents come out at 7 p.m., make a little noise and socialize from a safe distance.
