School districts granted flexibility for graduating seniors
State Board of Education acts in light of COVID-19 pandemic

The Washington State Board of Education approved emergency rules that allow school districts to apply for greater flexibility in awarding a diploma to high school seniors impacted by closures.
The decision was adopted during a Wednesday, April 8 meeting. The new rules are effective for the Class of 2020 immediately.
