Mukilteo aerospace supplier stays busy during slow time

While the coronavirus outbreak has overtaken daily routines around the world, people in the aerospace industry have been dealing with another headache for a year – the March 2019 grounding of the Boeing 737 Max.

In Snohomish County, home to some 200 aerospace industry firms employing more than 40,000 workers, the supply chain for Boeing and other airplane manufacturers has been straining to keep people working.

Among them is Applied Aero Systems, a Mukilteo-based company that currently employs 55 people and provides high-quality machine shop workmanship and specialized materials' coating...
