Irish dancer qualifies for championship in Dublin

Eleven-year-old Eli Munoz earned a spot at the 50th Annual Irish Dancing World Championships in Dublin, Ireland.
Eli Munoz, 11, competed at the Western Regional Irish Dancing Championships in Denver, Colorado this past November and earned a coveted qualifying spot to represent the Western Region of the United States at the 50th annual World Irish Dancing Championships in April.
"The 50th anniversary is a big year for him to qualify," said Lauren Carroll-Bolger, his dance instructor.
Mukilteo resident Munoz competes with his local Irish dance school, the Carroll-Henderson School of Irish Dancing, and is the school's first dancer to qualify for the World Championships.
