School district addresses gun safety in the home

Domestic Violence Coordinator Danielle Reynolds discussed extreme risk protection orders during the Family Safety Series at Harbour Pointe Middle School Jan. 9. The order prohibits a person from buying, using, or having control of a firearm for up to one year.

Gun violence is a topic of heavy emotion in Mukilteo. In fact, the subject has invoked a fear of safety for children as they go about their daily rituals, such as going to school.
