City finalizes purchase of new stormwater vactor truck

The new stormwater vactor truck was purchased by the City for $510,000.

The City of Mukilteo recently finalized the purchase of a $510,000 new stormwater vactor truck. Mayor Jennifer Gregerson signed a contract to buy the truck from Owen Equipment through the Sourcewell, formerly known as National Joint Powers Cooperative.

"It's a truck that will eventually make its way into all neighborhoods and is an important investment in our equipment infrastructure," Gregerson said.

A vactor truck is required to stay in compliance with the City's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit, maintain storm water infrastructure, and respond to emergencies. This...
