Back-to-back turnovers to start the third quarter helped sink the Marauders in a 28-19 loss to Ballard in a nonconference football game Friday, Sept. 13, at Goddard Stadium.
The loss overshadowed a spectacular performance by Mariner senior Roman Savchuk, who caught nine passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Savchuk also recorded four tackles and picked off a Beaver pass.
"He's a baller. He's doing a great job," Mariner coach Mark Stewart said of Savchuk.
