Mariner looking for improvement following a difficult 2018 season

The Mariner girls soccer team possesses a lot of upside.
That potential is what convinced new coach Liam Somers to take over a program that has produced a total of only six victories in the last eight seasons.
"I see a lot of opportunity for growth," said Somers, who was a volunteer assistant coach last season. "There are a lot of excellent young players. It's a chance to build a program up. We're looking for steady improvement."
The Marauders are coming off a difficult 2018 season in which they were outscored 70-4 and went 0-14-2.
A starting point for Somers is Mariner's mindset.
