3 state returners lead Knights | Wrestling

The Kamiak boys wrestling team has high hopes for the 2018-19 season.

And for good reason.

The Knights return three individuals, who advanced to the 4A state wrestling tournament, the most in recent history.

Drew Kindle (220 pounds), Guage Holland (152) and Richard Chung (113) all qualified and wrestled at last season’s state meet. All three have started out the season strong.

Chung took first place at the Edmonds Invitational, defeating Edmonds-Woodway’s Baylor Denkinger, who was a 3A state participant. Kindle, who wrestled up a weight class, took third place at 285. Holland missed...
