Here’s what going on with ferry lane construction

Flaggers and traffic cones have been a common sight for Mukilteo commuters of late due to construction by Puget Sound Energy. PSE will stop construction Friday before resuming Jan. 2. It is expected to complete construction by the end of January.

If you’ve been driving in and out of Old Town the last few weeks, chances are you’ve been slowed down by construction in the ferry lanes.

Mukilteo Speedway drivers heading north towards the water are moved slightly left, with a new lane made out of traffic cones, while drivers heading south have to drive along the right shoulder for a short distance.
