Strong performance for Knights at Eason Invite | Track and field

The Kamiak girls track and field team showed that it can hang with the best in the state.

The Knights finished second overall behind Issaquah at the 30th annual Larry Eason Invitational Saturday, April 21, at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Snohomish.

The Eagles claimed the team title with 56 points with the Knights scoring 37. Snohomish took third place with 36.5 and Glacier Peak was fourth with 36.

“We had a good outing,” Kamiak coach Charley LeWarne said. “Issaquah is certainly a state contender.”
