Mariner came out strong against Monroe.

The Marauders led early in the first set, but then couldn’t sustain the effort and eventually went on to lose 25-23, 25-15, 25-15 to the Bearcats in a Wesco 4A volleyball match Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Mariner High School.

Senior co-captain Brittany Udo said that the start to the match was one of the best sets the Marauders have played this season.

“But we need to learn how to finish and learn how to take a set and keep going and keep running with it,” Udo said.
