Anderson, Clark lead Kamiak girls | Cross country

Kamiak’s Alicia Anderson and Leah Clark finished ahead of the field in last week’s Wesco 4A girls cross country meet with Mariner and Monroe.

The Knights’ top two runners took first and second place and helped Kamiak to a second-place finish Thursday, Sept. 21, at McCollum Park in Everett.

Anderson, who placed second in the 1,600-meter and fifth in the 3,200 race at last season’s state track championships, finished the 5k course in 20 minutes, 23 seconds. Clark was close behind in 20:29.70 and was followed by two Monroe runners – Savannah Hastings (20:56.80) and Kaley Maurer (21:...
