I am proud to call beautiful Mukilteo my home.

Having been married for 23 years with three children ages 11-18 in the Mukilteo School District, we’ve been extremely pleased with the quality of education our children have received at every grade level from K through 12. My father, a senior citizen, also lives in Mukilteo.

I came to this area over 12 years ago to work for Electroimpact, probably the largest and definitely the best private employer in Mukilteo. As a project engineer at Electroimpact, I continue to be amazed at what a team of highly skilled, specialized engineers given the freedom to be creative can design and build.

We build the automation machinery that builds the airplanes of Boeing and other airplane manufactures. Our tooling and machines can cover an area the size of a basketball court or larger while moving to accuracies smaller than the diameter of a human hair.

As a soccer coach with Mukilteo Youth Soccer Club for many years, a volunteer at my children’s schools, past vice president of my home owners association, and many other activities, I have been heavily involved in Mukilteo for many years.

I own a home in Mukilteo and have rental properties in Mukilteo and surrounding areas. Having worked on inventions and patents in the past, I am a registered patent agent. I am a past member of Rotary, and I enjoy being involved in the community and making a difference.

Mukilteo City Council recently began taking steps that could increase our sales tax to one of the highest in the nation. Although, I believe a government can grow with its citizens and tax base. I do not believe that government, local or otherwise, should take an ever-increasing percentage of a person’s income.

Mukilteo has been as high as the ninth best place to live in the country, according to Money magazine. I believe we can do better than that.

Please consider voting for me for Mukilteo City Council Position 3.

Troy Gray Mukilteo
