Students create ‘masterPeeps’ in Serene Lake spring contest

More than 55 entries were sent in to Serene Lake Elementary’s second Peeps contest, where students used marshmallow Peeps and their imaginations to make sweet, sweet art.

The contest was hosted by the Serene Lake Student Council. The council was inspired last year by the annual springtime Seattle Times Peeps contest to start a similar contest at the school.

Students were invited to create a diorama, sculpture or other art project made (mostly) of sugary Peeps. They could make more than one entry for the contest – and their families could help them.
