Mukilteo team tops Hoopfest


Spokane Hoopfest, in its 20th year, is the world's largest 3-on-3 street basketball tournament. Among 200,000 players and spectators were 6,701 teams competing on 428 courts spread throughout 40 downtown blocks on June 27 & 28.

Four boys known as the Knights, Christian Clausen, JR Ploud, Brandon Reinertsen and Carson Tuttle, along with their coach, Craig Tuttle, participated in this spectacular event. Entered in a competitive bracket of 16 teams, the Knights were off to a great start winning their first two games 20-2 on Saturday.
