2025 Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival goes out with a bang

For the first time, this year's festival featured a drone show on Friday evening.

The parade returned this year and was moved back to Old Town where he was held in years past. A variety of entrants, inluding lots of youth groups and a handful of politicians.

Parade was a kick.

You had to smile.

It was certainly colorful.

Flowers in bloom.

Mayoral candidate Steve Schmalz got in his 10,000 steps.

A most patriotic entree.

Mukilteo City Council candidate Ilona Van Duser meets the voters.

The Allegro dancers are a hit.

Former Mukilteo School District board member Kevin Laverty is still active.

Citizen of the Year Nancy Passovoy is an honored guest at the parade.

Police Chief for a Day Zoya Bobov and her family join Chief Andy Illyn and Mayor Joe Marine on the lighthouse float.

The MukFest pirates brought along a Salish Sea mermaid.

The Kamiak High School band brought some precision – and percussion – to the festivities.

The flag team adds some flair.

Kamiak cheerleaders and some trainees liven up the parade.

Watching or marching, parade goers built up an appetite, and volunteers at the Kiwanis salmon bake were ready to serve.

The 2025 Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival, the city's premier celebration each fall, puts a nice coda on the summer. It wrapped up last weekend with a parade, rides for the kids, arts and crafts, music, dancing, lots of food, and, of course, fireworks. Here is just a sampling.
