Residents sound off on waterfront redevelopment

Mukilteans can share opinions on what they want to see; online survey remains open through Thursday, May 26

Longtime Mukilteo resident Jay Werner has more than a passing interest in the redevelopment of the Mukilteo waterfront.

Werner owns commercial property on Second Street.

"It's vacant land right now. We're looking to develop it," Werner said. "So I'm very much interested in this waterfront development.

Werner, who lives in the Elliot Pointe neighborhood, also is an avid runner. Four times a week, he does a four-mile loop that starts down Washington Avenue and includes Lighthouse Park, the entire promenade, Edgewater Park, and Mukilteo Lane.
