A friend recently shared with me that her teenage son is interested in existentialism, and specifically reading Albert Camus.

As a Generation Xer who embraced existential angst as a guiding principle in my teen years, it seems like a perfectly rational step, although I realize it does come with a bit of a burden.

The official social science explanation is that kids today are growing up in a somewhat similar world to the '70s and '8...
