Kamiak boys win league opener, girls take 2nd | Track and Field

Kamiak's Jackson Hammons leads the pack in the 3,200. Hammons won the race and also finished first in the 800.

The Kamiak boys track and field team easily claimed victory over rivals Glacier Peak and Archbishop Murphy in a Wesco meet Thursday, March 24, at Goddard Stadium.

The Knights scored 95.5 points over the Grizzlies (49) and the Wildcats (0.5).

The Glacier Peak girls finished ahead of the Kamiak 79-63 with Archbishop Murphy scoring 4 points.

Kamiak senior Jackson Hammons won the boys 800- and 3,200-meter races and helped anchor the Knights' winning 1,600 relay squad with teammates Kai Bailey, Christopher Johnson, and Isaiah Williams. Bailey also captured the 400. Other Kamiak first-place fin...
