Thanks to voter approval, the two proposed replacement levies passed in February. One was a four-year Educational Programs Levy, which passed with 56.87% voter approval. That levy will fund programs and services outside of “basic education,” including athletics, performing arts, before and after school programs, new curriculum, substitutes, nurses, and other student supports.
It will also help offset what the district pays to support students who receive specialized services, which is about $5 million more annually than what the state provides to the school district.
