When Charles Darwin visited the Galapagos Islands – off the coast of Ecuador in South America – it was to observe natural life and how it evolved in its own unique and isolated environment.
What he learned there was that lots of species of animals and plants had evolved in their own unique way based upon the natural characteristics of the islands.
