Mariner freshman claims district crown

Mariner freshman Vyron Domingo won the 200 individual medley at the 4A District boys swimming championships Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Snohomish Aquatic Center.

Mariner freshman Vyron Domingo dominated the field in his first appearance at the 4A District boys swimming championship.

Domingo took first place in the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 3.55 seconds, Saturday, Feb. 12, at Snohomish Aquatic Center.

The freshman standout finished more than a second ahead of Glacier Peak senior Keegan Lisenby, who was second in 2:04.66. Domingo also placed fifth in the 100 butterfly.

Domingo is headed to the state championships Friday and Saturday, Feb. 18-19, at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
